Holy Macaroni...this is going by too fast!
This week, I am feeling a bit larger. My medium size maternity clothes are needing to be upgraded to size large and dresses are more comforable than anything. Luckily this week has not been too hot for July! I have never ever wished for a cool summer in my whole life. I have been lucky as to not have too much swelling and many people have been impressed with how "good" I look...I credit this to staying very busy with Reagan and trying my best to take Molly for as many walks as I can manage. I hope to keep feeling active, even when school starts in a month!
This weeks agenda was to get "you" all ready to go. I have gone through all of your sister's "baby" stuff and determined what we need to get for you. I am starting to realize that your sizes are not going to be quite right since Reagan was born in the spring and you will be born in the fall...but luckily we have a few things that will work out. Of course, there will always be some shopping trips to get you some more approprite clothes. This week my "baby" purchases were basinett sheets and some adorable "onesies" that were on sale at Target. Overall, I feel much better about going through everything to make sure we are prepared.
This coming week, we are planning on getting the bedrooms all set up and ready to go, as to not upset Reagan's comfortness too much. We want for her to have some time to adjust to a new set up, before her new world is turned upside down.
Our new exitement this week is that Daddy and I booked a trip to Colorado for the weekend before school starts for my cousin's wedding. This gives me even more anxiety about getting "you" all set and ready to go, as well as my classroom. Let's hope you sit tight on this mini-babymoon!

Week 26-Lots of Kicks!
Well,...week 26 is here! This week you are the size of an Eggplant...a kicking Eggplant! This week, I have felt a lot more movements. You seem to want to move a lot at night, when Mommy is trying to rest! I love feeling it, but sometimes I just want to read quietly after I put your sister to bed! Your Daddy has felt a few of your little kicks, but he couldn't feel a lot with Reagan either, so I think he kind of gave up!
Some of my cravings have been watermelon and a lot of sweets! Last week, I made Puppy Chow for Reagan, and I ate almost the whole thing! Pretty amazing that I only gained one pound since my last doctors appointment a month ago, but we have been very busy since school got out! Plus Reagan keeps me very busy and active! I have been trying to stay in shape and not over indulge. I try to take Molly for a long walk each day, in order to get some fitness time in!
Some other symptoms that I have had are a lot of stretching ligaments and heartburn. I have bought two whole bottles of Tums, but the doctor said I might want to lay off of those so I don't get kidney stones or something like that ! So I guess, maybe I need to chew some more gum to get everything digested properly.
This week, I wanted to let you know a little about your big sister Reagan. Right now, Reagan's favorite things are the Frozen Song (Let it Go), Strawberries, visiting the library, and not going to bed! So far, Reagan is such a good big sister to you. She will sometimes just go up to my belly and give you a little kiss. She always makes sure that when she or I have a blanket, that you have one to cover you too. Her big concern was where you were going to be sleeping at your Baba and Grandma's house, since she always sleeps in the pack and plays. I explained to her that she would have to sleep in the "big girl" beds at their house. We got it all straigtened out, so you will be ok! I think she is very excited for your arrival, but I think she might be disappointed that you don't come out "playing" right away! She will get use to it!
This week, it has been kind of rainy and we decided to go play in it! We do a lot of silly things like this, so I hope you are listening carefully to prepare yourself!

25 Weeks
Baby Hernandez...well that is what we are calling you right now, cause you are only the size of a zucchini...that is at least what the baby app is telling us!
I want to use the blog to have an online journal of this pregnancy. With your sister Reagan had a little book that I wrote and collected things in, but I feel that because you will be a child of the technical revolution, you will appreciate the online aspect of this better than a "book" . Plus, I like typing better than writing! I hope to add pictures, videos, and just overall feelings about how things are going through these next 3 months.
You are a little different from your little sister, because you took a little longer to conceive! Reagan was conceived on the first try, but you took a few months! We started trying in September, but the moons were just not aligned and it took until January to finally get that positive result! So we are calling you a New Years Miracle!
When I first took the test (for the 3rd month) I got the 6 day early test and I took the test at 5am...I couldn't wait! I woke your Daddy up right away and had to tell him. His first words to this were, "Oh no...another Chaca!" After that, I called my Mom and my sister, Casey! I had to tell them too! Everyone was very excited!
I waited to tell everyone at my works till after the Doctor's appointment at 12 weeks (minus the 6 days early)! I took forever to keep my trap shut till then! For School, I posted this picture (and on Facebook), at JCPenney, I brought in little Munchkin Donuts saying " Another little Munchkin for the Hernandez Family". It was so cute and everyone loved it!
My goal is to post to this blog each week, to give an update on the happenings of each week the rest of the pregnancy and beyond! We are so excited this week, because today we got your bassinet! It is an Eddie Bauer one, which as you will learn to know, we got at a great deal from a Garage Sale! (Sorry babycakes, your Mommy and Daddy are not rich with money, but we are rich with love!)
These are some of the questions that I want to answer as the weeks go on:
What are your cravings?
Do you have morning sickness?
What other pregnancy symptoms do you have?
Who do you regularly talk with and share your pregnancy details with?
When did you start wearing maternity clothes?
What were your favorite maternity clothes?
Do you have any worries or concerns about your pregnancy?
What types of medical tests did you have done throughout the pregnancy?
When did you first feel the baby move? Where were you? Who were you with?
Who was the first person to feel the baby move?
Do you have a strong feeling about the sex of the baby?
Are you going to find out the sex of your baby? Why or why not?
Do you ever feel the baby hiccup?
What are some of your choices for names?
Do you experience Braxton-Hicks contractions? How often?
What are your favorite pregnancy/childbirth books? Why?
Have any strangers touched your stomach?
Explain what childbirth classes you have taken.
Have you been nesting? What have you been doing?
